About Us

iCAM (Instrument Construction and Maintenance) was founded in 1964 by Dennis Davies with the aim of providing a flexible professional service backed up with high-quality, cost efficient products. In 1970 we moved to our current site in Connah’s Quay, Wales. A site on which site we are continually expanding currently employing over 40 staff. Since 1986 we have been at the forefront of Canister design, fabrication, testing, and certification.

We have extensive experience in the manufacturing of high integrity chemical cylinders. Producing our first cylinder back in 1986, using a combination of manual and orbital welding techniques. Today we rely on the same proven procedure and skills to produce thousands of full penetration sealing welds, essential for the containment of highly unstable compounds.

iCAM can provide a range of services for canisters. We are an approved DOT RIN Testing Facility, for the re-certification of Bubblers to DOT 4B. We also provide a range of cylinder refurbishment, reconditioning and repair services.
